Simple tips to quickly and safely improve anxiety

full-4654In 2001, it was estimated that 2.9 million Canadians suffer from some type of anxiety disorder.

Many people suffering from anxiety find that taking medication or other internal medicine does not prevent their brain from accumulating negative emotions and blockages.

There are several effective approaches in releasing anxiety such as acupuncture  treatment, energy healing and psychotherapy however, if you are looking for other quick and safe ways to also help yourself at the comfort of your home you may want to try emotional acupuncture also known as emotional freedom technique EFT.

This technique was developed by Gary Young and is very well known worldwide.

EFT is often called emotional acupuncture because it combines gentle tapping on key acupuncture points while focusing on your thoughts. Tapping does such a good job of changing our emotional state and it is very effective in treating anxiety. It stimulates what traditional Chinese medicine calls meridian points. These are energy points along the body that our chi (life force energy) gets trapped in. Tapping is believed to increase the overall flow of chi by getting it unstuck from these points. Once the trapped energy is released you feel calm and relaxed.

Try this simple tapping exercise at home!

Repeat your negative statement three times, while continuously tapping the Karate Chop point on the side of the hand (large dot on hand) diagram on the side.

i.e. Even though I feel this knot of anxiety in my stomach about driving to work, I know I’m a good driver and that I will arrive safely.”

You may create another affirmation that acknowledge how anxious you are about a subject. Keep repeating the affirmation. Pause, take a breath in and observe how you feel.

Than go to the next step.

2- The sequence

Tap about 7 times on each of the energy points in these diagram, while repeating a brief phrase that reminds you of the problem.

i.e I am in a process of feeling safe and comfortable  driving to work.

After tapping the points several times you will notice a difference in the way you think, feel and react. You are changing your state of consciousness.
